Trust. It is an amazing word. And even more so an amazing feeling. As An Odd Story sets out not only to be a portrait of a brewery, but also a light version biography of Daniel and Peter, trust is an important factor in many aspects. From my perspective, I need Daniel and Peter’s trust in order for them to provide me with information deeper and more personal than what could be googled. From their perspective, they need to trust that I will not use what they are telling me in any other way than what we have mutually agreed on for the purpose of the book. That stories which I have been told, but which we have agreed should not be part of An Odd Story will rest with me. Trust. An amazing phenomenon which creates bonds between people and forms the foundation friendships. If misused, the creation of enemies.
I genuinely feel I have gained the trust of Daniel and Peter. For that I am forever grateful. First and foremost, for the friendship, but also for enabling An Odd Story – without trust it would not be what it is soon to become.
Me and the book designer are just putting our finishing touches on the book right now. Within a week or so, we are sending the files to the printing house for delivery in early November! Stay tuned for updates!
